Health 6 JulyCommenting on the deal struck between Bristol City Council and Wessex to ensure the continuation of the 51 bus service following lobbying from Bristol South MP Karin Smyth, local councillors and campaigners, Karin Smyth said:

“The 51 provides many local people with a vital service to get to and from work, shops, schools and colleges, and the South Bristol Community Hospital, so residents right across south Bristol will join me in thanking the city council and Wessex for responding positively to our calls ensure that it continues, despite First’s decision to withdraw. All those who lobbied and campaigned deserve great credit for this outcome.”
