Bristol South MP praises small businesses on Small Business Saturday
Karin Smyth is encouraging constituents to shop local this Christmas and to support small businesses as we approach Small Business Saturday on 5 December.
Small Business Saturday is an annual celebration of small businesses, allowing them to publicise their products and services and work with mentors to build their businesses.
This year small businesses have faced unprecedented struggles and Karin would like to take this opportunity to voice her support for all the local Bristol South small businesses that have worked so hard during this pandemic to keep trading and to support the local community.
Karin Smyth said:
“Our small businesses are at the heart of our community and we must do all we can to support them through what will be a tough Christmas and winter period.
“I know that large online marketplaces make shopping for presents and gifts easier, but I also know that we have some fantastic local shops here in Bristol South that offer quality and local products.
“I would encourage all constituents to shop local where possible and to support our fantastic local small businesses. We need to support them now to ensure they are still here once we come out the other side of this pandemic”.
“If any small businesses are struggling, please do get in touch with my office so we can help explore what support might be available to you”.
